all to cover up what? I don't really get it, or is it just that, a way to steal money?

anways earth is probably a toroid if you're curious

Two points: The first is that such a planet could not exist; it would be forced into hydrostatic equilibrium (Image) and form roughly a sphere, or a spheroid. Second, how large is earth really (both the characteristic diameters?) If they're compact enough, it's possible that people could just see the other side?
