Macron wants France to lead a coalition in Ukraine and could announce sending soldiers as early as next weeks—Reuters
According to three diplomatic sources cited by Reuters, the head of state is preparing to bring France into the war:
“Arrangements are very advanced and we could expect something next week.”
Deaf to warnings - even in his own camp - about the risk of widening the conflict, Macron should take advantage of Zelensky's arrival (June 6 for the D-Day commemorations) to announce the sending of a "limited number » of military trainers…
…whose mission will be to test the waters before dispatching several hundred men.
And Paris hopes to draw its recalcitrant allies into its wake, since ultimately the objective is to “form and lead a coalition of countries offering such assistance to kyiv’s war effort”.
Or start World War III.
